Services

Phlebotomy – Blood Tests  Blood tests are done at the surgery. Blood tests need to be arranged by the doctor and are by appointment only. If you are unable to attend for a blood test at this time arrangements can be made for you to attend neighboring practices for a blood test.
NHS Healthchecks  Healthchecks are available for over 40s as part of the national NHS Healthcheck scheme. 
Electrocardiogram (ECG)  ECGs are done at the surgery if recommended by the GP.
24 Hour Blood Pressure Recording 24 Hour Blood Pressure Recording is available at the surgery if recommended by the GP.
Spirometry  Lung function tests are done at the surgery on the doctors recommendation.
Baby Clinic  Our Practice Nurse carries out all routine childhood immunisation in our baby clinic which runs on Thursday mornings and Friday evenings. Our doctor carries out child health surveillance including the 6 week baby check. All appointments need to be booked in advance. Please bring your child’s red book.
Smoking Cessation Clinic  Our Practice is committed to help people to stop smoking. Smoking is known to be the greatest risk factor for developing bronchitis, heart disease and lung cancer. We offer support in stopping smoking as part of the Brent Smoking Cessation programme including free nicotine patches. Please contact our receptionist to make an appointment with our Practice Nurse.
Travel Vaccinations  Our Practice Nurse can advise you on the necessary travel vaccinations required for your travel destination. Please book an appointment at least 1 month before travel.
COPD Clinic with Spirometry  Lung function tests are done at the surgery on the doctors recommendation.
Learning Disability Health Check  All patients registered with a learning disability are offered an annual health check with the GP. Please speak to a receptionist to book an appointment.
Test Results  Please book telephone appointment between 12:00 pm to 13:00 pm for results of blood tests or X-rays requested by the surgery. Most results are available within 5 working days.
Blood Test Locations  Tudor House Medical Centre (Monday / Wednesday / Friday mornings – by appointment only). Local practices offer blood test appointments during the week – please ask at reception for more information.

Non-NHS Services

Some services provided are not covered under our contract with the NHS and therefore attract charges. Examples include the following:

  • Medicals for pre-employment, sports and driving requirements (HGV, PSV etc.)
  • Insurance claim forms
  • Prescriptions for taking medication abroad
  • Private sick notes
  • Vaccination certificates

The fees charged are based on the British Medical Association (BMA) suggested scales and our reception staff will be happy to advise you about them along with appointment availability.
