Integrated Care Board (ICB)

NHS North West London (legally known as NHS North West London Integrated Care Board, ICB) is responsible for contracting healthcare services locally and the oversight of the local NHS budget. It has an extensive role in primary, secondary and community care, some of which are sole responsibilities, others in a joint or shared function with NHS England.

The ICB cover London boroughs of Brent, Ealing, Harrow, Hammersmith & Fulham, Hillingdon, Hounslow, Westminster, and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.

These are their broad objectives:

  • improving outcomes in population health and health care
  • tackling inequalities in outcomes, experience and access
  • enhancing productivity and value for money
  • helping the NHS to support broader social and economic development.

Our Commitment

  • Online Access: Submit non-urgent requests via our online consultation platform during core hours (8:00 AM – 6:30 PM, Mon–Fri).
  • Response Times: Aim to reply to non-urgent online requests within 1 working day.
  • Enhanced Access: Evening and Saturday appointments via our PCN network (Mon–Fri 6:30–8:00 PM; Sat 9:00 AM–5:00 PM).
  • Digital Front Door: Use the NHS app to order prescriptions, and access GP records.
  • Continuity of Care: GP Connect enables other NHS providers to view relevant records when needed. Patient preference for clinician to be honoured where possible. 

Your Responsibilities

  • Notify us promptly about changes in health or circumstances
  • Keep your contact information and health details up-to-date.
  • Use online services for routine requests to free phone lines for urgent matters.
